Ok, here are some notes I've recorded since my last clean-up with Boop: During the clean-up phase, before I was directed to Bleeping Computer, I received some unusual requests to download software that would help 'clean' my computer. I stupidly downloaded a few programs under the premise that they would help me to clean my computer, when in all reality, it could have been malware.

I received a reminder from a program called 'PC Scan and Repair' by 'Re-image' telling me that there were still stability issues on my computer that it recommended I fix. This must have been over a week ago, but it was definitely after I cleaned my computer up under Boops supervision. Another program that I downloaded in the pre-Bleeping Computer time frame, 'McAfee security scan plus', which has also informed me post clean-up that my computer is still at risk. Another one which I downloaded is 'AVG PC tune-up 2011', but that hasn't bothered me at all. I'm wondering, have you looked through the ark.txt file and other logs I have posted? I'm not sure how to read those, but I have made sure to post them according to the Malware clean-up instructions. Thanks again.

I did go through the logs, including the Gmer log, and there's no sign of anything that you are mentioning. Also, Boopme's clean up on the thread dealt with the malware that existed in that time period. If you have no symptoms at this time then there is no reason to believe that your machine is not cleaned up. With these kinds of issues I usually hold the topic open for five days for you to check out the machine. If anything strange happens then please post here and we can take a look at it. What I will say is that you could remove one of your antiviruses. You have AVG and Avast and you don't need both.
