Related Crypto Subreddits. I used to mine Burst and believe in the project. I would love for them to turn it around but I just don't have faith anymore, even with this news.

The pettyness and drama in that community was toxic. There seemed to be scammers around every corner. The wallet was broken garbage which may have been fixed by now but updates were rare back then. The proof of capacity mining is a great idea but you get the same problems as proof of work just with less energy usage. Big players buy tonnes of storage and small guys like myself mining with 5TB have to join a pool and then get so little in payouts that it is not even worth it.

Not to mention that most of the mining pools were constantly getting DDOSed. Sorry for the FUD but I just wanted the unaware to know what Burst was like from my perspective. Despite this, I truly hope the developers can succeed.

Maybe then my remaining 850 Burst might be worth something. A 5TB miner will get approximately 10% of the reward of a 50TB miner. This coin has as fair of an entry barrier to miner as it gets. You can even mine on a smartphone's SD card. Did you want to make a million coins a day on 5TB?

For the last 4 months we have had very stable infrastructure, everything is upgraded and the new development team picked up the project from the ashes and has nothing to do with the Burstnation drama. This is crypto, there's bound to be scamers around every corner. You keep to your Dogecoin snowflake bubble.

Dogecoin snowflake bubble lol I wasnt expecting to mine a million coins per day. I was getting nice payouts of 50ish coins when i first started mining. I cant remember exactly but it reduced quite severely a couple of weeks after. I would say like 5ish coins per payout. Anyway couple that with the constant DDOS attacks and abundance of more promising cryptos I decided to abandon Burst. At the time it seemed like it was slowly dying.

I'm not an entitled snowflake as you may think. Crypto is an exciting and fast moving space and i ran out reasons to continue supporting Burst. If you first reaction is to insult people who have doubts then you are only solidifying my opinions. This project is ambitious beyond belief, with no ICO to raise the millions of dollars necessary to bankroll an army of developers to work on it full time. They do not nearly have the resources to pull this off. I asked where are they getting their devs from?

Their response was “You know how github works right?” If you build it, they will come I guess? I asked where are they getting the money to support even the devs that are working on it already without an ICO and a developer fund, and the response was “how do you know they don’t have their own money?” So I said “How about you show me the money instead of asking rhetorical questions?” And then they banned me.

Investor beware. They can’t satisfactorily answer the first questions any investor should ask. They don’t even try. No ICO This a good thing. The PoCC (Cre Burstcoin dev team) is largely comprised of 40 - 50 year old European engineers.

They are probably quite well off financially, not to mention the fact that they are heavily invested in the coin. Burstcoin hada market cap of 10 million a few months ago. They probably secured a large enough position by putting their own money where their mouth is instead of begging for the community to fund their meals in exchange for a vaporware promise, like most of the projects you are probably invested in.
