Then it worked! Note that you must use the decoder configuration tool to set vmv9 option for VC1 prior to running the Win7 tweaker tool. Otherwise there will be no ffdshow option listed in the tweaker tool.

In fact for a 1080p BD i use Verdana, size 65, border 3 and offset of only 24. My subs stay firmly at the bottom of my screen, OUTSIDE of the 2.40:1 picture (in the border that is).
