Vsrls: Evga Geforce Gtx 680 For Mac
I've the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Mac Edition 2GB and the game says: Unrecognized Video Card. See (I'm playing the Dutch version of the Sims 4) I hope you will fully support this videocard in the next patch.
Maybe especially optimize it for this typical GPU card? I also run Hitman Codename 47 - Absolution Elite Edition for Mac @ The highest graphic settings possible and it runs smooth + FAST!!! Even faster than my PC!!! Thanks a lot! Thank you for your quick response.
I appreciate your solution but it isn't about setting up game profile(s)! Keep in mind I am one of the few enthousiast (hardcore) Apple Mac gamer. There aren't a lot of (hardcore) Apple Mac gamers out there who uses a high-end game GPU compared to PC windows users. Because of that almost nobody report this issue. I do because I don't want to switch to a PC windows machine.
I refer to this, you need to scroll down a bit mileytongue: Crash / Performance (General). We fixed a ‘failed to load object’ error that was returning the player to the neighborhood map when attempting to load into a lot. This error was the result of an invalid fallback being called when we ran into a load error. Essentially, if we were looking for a sofa and we couldn’t find the sofa, we would say “Hey, there is no sofa” and kick the request back. Which would then say “But I need a sofa.” And this would go back and forth until finally someone would just give up, storm off angry, and say “Fine, if there is no sofa, there is no game, and you can forget about dinner, cuddling, and now we are going to go visit my mother, and yes, you ARE coming with me!”. Players who have Nvidia GTX 960, 970, or 980 video cards should no longer get the 'Unrecognized Video Card' error upon launching the game.
We fixed a crash that could occur on load due to “lot caching,” which was fixed by removing the cache. We fixed an issue that could lead to an infinite load when travelling that was due to certain world objects (trees, rocks, or similar) failing to load. Rather than hanging, we now just advance the load. And by advance the load, it is meant that we step over the request, and move on to the next. Like when you are reading your daughter’s Christmas wish list, and you just ignore the “pony” and “little brother” line items.
Fixed an issue where browsing the gallery could lead to a crash. We fixed a few crashes that were affecting some users on both Mac and PC yea, that’s pretty generic. To be specific, we fixed crash category 0xd12c29, 0x4518fe, 0xb72d33, and 0x34bc94. Maybe that was too specific? I’m not sure I can do better in this case, um we fixed a Graphics::Texture, Pathplanner:containsFast, FamilyManager, and SetNotificationFunction crash. Totally not helpful. Let’s just go with “Mac and PC are now more stable as a result of these fixes.” I've marked the line and It's just about the game's core a.k.a.
Internal GPU database of the game engine which need to be looked into, optimized (so the game fully use all the benefits of this typical GPU) and reprogrammed. When the game was made / released the game makers probably used older Mac GPUs (non-game GPUs).
The EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Mac Edition 2GB is a very decent and expensive piece of electronic which was also released as limited edition. At the moment they even don't produce them anymore mileyfrustrated: So bottom line I hope EA games or Maxis will also satisfy and respect the (hardcore) Mac Gamers!
So we also get a well-spoken altogether game experience like PC windows users already do for decades. I am a player just like you. I do not work for EA. I am trying to help you if you are having trouble getting Sims 4 to run on your computer. I am a volunteer here on these and on the Official Sims Forums that tries to help other Mac users troubleshoot their problems. There is no need for you to be rude to me. Yes, I play on an iMac (27', late 2012).
I have the nVidia GeForce GTX 680MX graphic card. I do not have problems with the game recognizing my graphics card.
Nvidia Geforce 680 Gtx
And I can play on High graphics settings. A patch was just released a couple of weeks ago. Have you updated? Other than wanting EA to update the graphics cards options, were you having a specific problem getting Sims 4 to run?
