Ps3for Mac Ps3mac_v1.0_9
QUOTE='deathx112'Dam.Thanks man. ThWorldGreatest you should get a 360 controller instead if you really want to play using a controller, i think the normal wired ones work with the PC fine but i don't know for sure. Yeah, I just bought the 360 controller for my pc recently. Here's a tip: you don't have to order the pc version XBox controller.
Mac Ps3 Controller
You can save $10 by purchasing the stock XBox controller. The stock XBox controller does not come with any installation software, so you have to download it from Microsoft, which is realy easy. Just google XBox PC controller drivers.
Make sure you download from Microsoft and not another site. Also, myself and a lot of other people have had issues with the XBox controller creating audio warbling after installation. It has to do with confliction of USB hub usage. It was a slight pain in the tucas to resolve, but I did resolve it. If you install the XBox controller and it messes up your audio, there are several possible ways to fix the problem. Refer to this thread for help: I ended up having to buy an external USB hub to get the XBox controller to work on my pc.
Yeah, it's annoying that Microsoft can't make things simpler, but at the same time, I kind of needed a hub to accomodate some of the other things I use, ie. Camera memory and the like. Some games really lend themselves to a controller, while others do not. You just have to kind of experiment and see what you prefer to use. Ditto here man.
I got used to playing crysis with my 360 controler. Then I got WAW and it would not work.
This got me thinking though. When playing the game online with the xbox, I wondered how some of the players moved so fast? Well, I find out that the online pc WAW is played in the same arena. Ever try to move your guy 180 deg. To keep someone from shooting you in the back.
It takes time with the controler, but with the mouse, its instant. Also, if you get something like the LogitechG9X. You can even adjust how fast you want to move on the fly! I feel like I`ve got 8 thumbs when it comes to keyboard gaming. But with all the possibilities, I will learn. (I hope) Happy gaming.
October 26, 2009 I have scoured the internet to find all the possible Playstation emulators for the Mac. FlareStorm and PCSX are the most popular ones out there right now, however there are others. VGS was the first commercial Playstation emulator for the Mac, but soon faded away. The demo is still available for download, so I have posted it and the others in the Box File Widget. The Pi and PSMac are smaller, less known Playstation emulators for the Mac. Those have also been posted as well. Last, but not least, there are plugins for Flarestorm and PCSX available for download too.
To get certain games working properly, you will need these plugins. Many of these emulators require older operating systems and won’t function in Leopard, even with their Classic Environment support. I was unable to try VGS. I did manage to get PCSX running after installing Rosette. Your Mac will tell you to install Rosette and then install it for you. After installing Rosette, you should be free to play Playstation games on your Mac. For better compatibility, don’t forget to install the extra plugins too.
Grab all these emulators from the Box File Widget on the right. Flarestorm, PCSX, The Pi and PsMac are all in there. I’ve renamed them so that they might be easier to pick out from the Box File Widget.
