Las Palmas Cantina is the latest restaurant concept from restauranteur Julian Wright, who also owns Pedal Haus Brewery. Las Palmas Cantina is a Mexican restaurant with a coastal vibe. Meatballz Inc. Is a new casual make-your-own meatball concept in Scottsdale. They have meatball bowls, meatball sandwiches, and sliders. There are four kinds of meatballs on the menu: chicken, spicy pork, beef and vegetarian. They have nine different sauces and gravies.

Francis, Phoenix Public Market Cafe, and Tempe Public Market Cafe. He partnered with artist Gennaro Garcia and Chef Suny Santana. There is no food item on the menu that costs more than $7. They have street tacos, chicharrones, quesadillas, and a couple salads.

Ramen Hood is a build-your-own ramen concept that opened near the Loop 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. Guests pick the noodles, broth, protein and toppings (they have 24 of them). You can also make a rice bowl.

Pomegranate Cafe is an organic vegan and vegetarian restaurant in Ahwatukee. They opened a second restaurant in central Phoenix near the bustling 7th Street stretch. He is also the owner of Trapp Haus BBQ, his barbecue restaurant that opened off Roosevelt Street in downtown Phoenix.

The menu features traditional smokehouse barbecue with some southwestern flare, including deep-fried pieces of brisket stuffed with mac and cheese, smoked brisket empanadas, sandwiches, and smoked meats by the pound. Hatter and Hare opened in the former 'Joe's Midnight Run' space near 7th Street and Bethany Home Road. The space is smaller than Camp Social, which is next door. It has whimsical chairs and couches.

Some of their cocktails are served in teacups and teapots, with many named after characters in the story and movies. Their sandwiches are cut into hearts for added effect. Address: 6101 N. Phoenix, Arizona 85014. The Larder & The Delta is a southern restaurant from Arizona chef Stephen Jones.

Jones launched the concept at Desoto Central Market, then closed that location to open it in a larger space with an expanded menu. He opened it in July at Portland on the Park, a condominium complex in downtown Phoenix.

In fact, the first restaurant opened in Scottsdale in 1994, according to its website. The concept is now owned by Kahala Brands and is franchised. Social Club is a members-only cocktail lounge that opened on the third floor of the old Hanny's Department Store building in downtown Phoenix. They do not serve food, but have a list of 15 cocktails focused on the five spirits: vodka, whiskey, tequila, gin, and rum. Membership is $250 a year, plus $50 a month. They opened their fourth Arizona restaurant - third in the Valley - at Williams Field Road and SanTan Village Parkway, near the SanTan Village shopping complex. Rudy's Country Store and BBQ, a Texas-based restaurant chain, opened a third restaurant in the Valley, in Gilbert.

You'll find a wide selection of meats - brisket, pork loin, turkey, rubs, prime rub - sandwiches, and southern sides on the menu. Rudy's other restaurants are in Chandler and Goodyear. It was opened by Leo Madrigal, whose background includes stints at Z'Tejas, Taco Guild, Salty Sow, and HopDoddy. The menu was inspired by flavors of Mexico City and Oaxaca. You'll find tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and salads on the menu, along with burgers and pasta.

Welcome Diner opened a second location near 10th and Pierce streets, a short drive from its original Valentine diner on Roosevelt Street. The original diner closed in June after negotiations to renew its lease fell through. Address: 929 E Pierce Street, Phoenix, AZ 85006. Gadzooks, the make-your-own enchiladas and tacos concept, opened a second location in Arcadia. The first restaurant opened near Osborn and 7th Street in 2013. They company has plans to open a third restaurant in Tempe by the end of 2018.

Marco's Pizza, a national pizza chain that started in 1978, has opened a restaurant in Gilbert. They have at least six signature pizzas, including 'All Meat,' 'Hawaiian Chicken,' and 'Pepperoni Magnifico'. They also have subs, salads, and dessert.

It opened a fourth location in the heart of downtown Gilbert, next to O.H.S.O. Other locations are in Arcadia, Phoenix, and Scottsdale. Address: 335 N Gilbert Road., Gilbert, AZ 85234. When Bone Haus Brewing opened, it became the first craft brewery in Fountain Hills. It is themed after bone houses in Europe, sometimes called ossuaries or catacombs. They have eight beers on tap, including a couple IPAs, and three non-alcoholic drinks, including a vanilla-lemon ginger beer.

New York Bagels N' Bialys, a Kosher New York-style made-from-scratch bagel shop in the Valley, opened a third location at ASU's SkySong Center.

It was founded by Ruth Leatherman and Shelley Curtis in 1987. They reportedly serve 7,000 bagels and bialys a day!

The bowling alley has 36 backlit lanes, each with its own video screen, an arcade, and oversized food. For the adventurous, they have a five-pound burger and a two-foot-long Chi-Town hot dog. They also have a 100-ounce cocktail for those 21 and up.

Emily Rieve and Lindsey Schoenemann opened the concept at Union @ Roosevelt, an apartment complex, near First Avenue and Roosevelt Street. GenuWine has Arizona wines and beer on tap, along with meat and cheese boards to snack on. Address: 888 N.

Nitro Live Ice Creamery uses liquid nitrogen to instantly freeze its ice cream. The Gilbert location was initially a Sub Zero franchise, but was eventually rebranded. They have more than 40 ice cream flavors, and various toppings. They have plans to open two more locations in the Valley.

Jamba Juice, the national juice chain, opened a store in Peoria, marking nearly 30 locations in the Valley. Quartiere is an Italian restaurant that replaced Riazzi's, which had been in business for decades.

La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe opened two restaurants in the Valley. Both of them are located in the East Valley: Chandler and Gilbert. A third location is slated to open in downtown Phoenix.

The neighborhood bar and whiskey joint serves different kinds of meats, such as brisket, ribs, smoked pork hot links, and fried chicken. They also have sandwiches, buttermilk biscuits, and salads. Modern Market is a Colorado-based fast-casual restaurant and touts itself as a 'farm fresh eatery'. Their menu focuses on simple ingredients. You'll find pizzas, salads, and sandwiches on the menu. Thai Chili 2 Go, a casual counter-service restaurant concept that serves Thai food, opened its fifth restaurant in the Valley. The Gilbert location is also the chain's first location to use ordering kiosks vs.

The Novelist is a new concept from Jon Lane, the founder of O.H.S.O. Brewery and Distillery. It's located within the same building as O.H.S.O.' S Gilbert brewpub, but has its own kitchen, bar, and menu. You won't miss it, but it has a graffiti-style mural that pays homage to J.K. Rowling and her 'Harry Potter' series. Address: 335 N.

Gilbert Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85234. Zero Degrees is a national drink and snack concept that blends Hispanic and Asian flavors.

The 'Mangonada' is one of their signature drinks. It is a mango slushy with Chamoy and Tajin, and mango chunks.

They have a few other slushies, milk teas, and coffees. You'll find elote, popcorn chicken, spicy Dole whip, and chicharrones on the food menu. Address: 2000 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281. Hash Kitchen is bringing its Bloody Mary bar, chicken and waffles, and cereal-infused cocktails to Chandler. The restaurant recently opened in the shopping center near Loop 101 and Ray Road. It is their third restaurant in the Valley.

Dutch Bros: The Arizona-based coffee chain with a loyal following opened two more drive-thrus in the Valley. One opened near Chandler Fashion Center in Chandler. The other opened in Gilbert near the Loop 202 (SanTan) and Val Vista Drive. In June, they started adding edible 'shine' as an option to its drinks making them sparkle. Addresses: 3670 S.

Casa Amigos is one of the latest concepts from Evening Entertainment Group, the restaurant group behind Bevvy, Stock & Stable, RnR, and Sandbar. The Mexican concept is in Scottsdale's Entertainment District and part of Skylanes, the group's club-style bowling alley and bar. The menu has tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, burritos, and salads. Flower Child, a health concept from Fox Restaurant Concepts, joined the restaurant lineup at Desert Ridge Marketplace. Other Valley locations are in Arcadia, Uptown Plaza, and Scottsdale. They have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

The flavored bars are made of gelato or sorbet and molded with a diamond-like design. They were made for Instagram. Guests can then dip them in milk, dark, or white chocolate and top them with sprinkles, Oreo bits, or nuts. They also have tea. Address: 550 W McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85003.

At Baked Bear, people make their own ice cream sandwiches. They have more than a dozen ice cream flavors that can be sandwiched between cookies, brownies, doughnuts, or a combination of the three. The dessert is then rolled in whatever topping chosen.

The Tempe Public Market Cafe is the sister concept to the Phoenix Public Market Cafe, a concept from Valley chef Aaron Chamberlin. Like the Phoenix restaurant, it boasts a locally-sourced, health-conscious menu. One element that is different is pizza.

Husband-wife duo and franchisees, Randy and Ann Sevilla, opened their second Firehouse Subs restaurant in Gilbert. Randy reportedly spent 32 years as a firefighter. Firehouse Subs has a variety of toasted sub sandwiches, salads, and platters. The company donates a portion of each sandwich to its Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. Wildflower dropped 'Bread Company' from its name in 2018, part of a rebranding effort. The Gilbert restaurant, located at Rivulon near Gilbert Road and Loop 202, is also the brand's first restaurant to serve beer and wine. Riot Hospitality Group's health-focused Farm and Craft expanded with a second location at The Colony, a multi-use restaurant and retail center off 7th Street. The restaurant's 'wellness' menu is divided into four focus points: anti-inflamantory, increase probiotics, increase anti-oxidants, and reduce overall stress. You'll find vegetarian, chicken, steak, and fish entrees. They also have kombucha on tap. Address: 5538 N.

The gelateria is located within their Scottsdale restaurant at the Shops at Gainey Ranch. Most of the ingredients, and the machine that makes the gelato, were imported from Italy, the company said. It is served in cake cones, waffles cones, and waffle bowls. Address: 8977 N.

It opened near Loop 101 and Mayo Boulevard. In 2016, the concept was sold to Due North Holdings. They have plans to franchise the restaurant nationally under a new name, 'Daily Jam'.

The Brass Tap in downtown Gilbert has at least 65 craft beers on tap, three wines, craft soda, and margaritas. Local franchisees brought the Florida-based concept to Arizona, debuting it in Mesa. Years later, they expanded to downtown Gilbert with a full-sized restaurant and bar. The patio has oversized backyard games like Connect Four and Jenga. The menu has flatbreads, sliders, tacos, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. Address: 313 N.

Gilbert Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234. SanTan Brewing Company, the Chandler-based brewery, opened a second brewpub near 16th Street and Bethany Home Road. It is located in the former Z'Tejas building. The inside has a large dining room, private dining area, and a bar. Popular brews include Mr. Pineapple, Devil's Ale, HopShock IPA, and SunSpot Gold.

In 2018, SanTan also began distilling spirits. Currently, they have two vodkas and a single-malt whiskey.

Address: 1525 Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Scramble, a breakfast and lunch joint, is a quick-casual restaurant from Icon Hospitality Group. They expanded with a third location at 24th Street and Camelback Road. They use fresh ingredients from local farms and markets. The menu has a variety of omelettes, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, salads, sandwiches, pancakes, and pastries.

The brewery is on the second floor, while the first floor houses the restaurant and bar. It has an outdoor bar, patio, dog park, and a small area with backyard games. It's also home to a new concept - The Novelist. Address: 335 N.

Gilbert Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234. Ono Hawaiian BBQ, the national Hawaiian restaurant chain, opened two restaurants in the Valley in the first half of 2018. One opened in Phoenix and the other in Surprise. The menu features Hawaiian-inspired dishes, including chicken plates, Spam musubi, and soups. Addresses: 13864 W.

Babbo Italian Eatery, a local family-owned Italian restaurant chain, opened its eighth location in Scottsdale. The menu has spaghetti and meatballs, Neopolitan pizzas, and focaccia bread. Morning Squeeze, a 70s- and 80s-themed breakfast and brunch restaurant, opened a second location in downtown Tempe. Its funky colors and decor took over the former Delice Bistro space.

The theater has seven screens, plus a bar.

It is the second location for the theater chain. The other is in Chandler. While watching the movie, theatergoers can order appetizers, or turn it into dinner-and-a-movie with a complete meal. Two years after taking her concept to ABC's Shark Tank (unfortunetly, no deal was made), owner Allison DeVane opened a stand-alone location for Teaspressa, her tea and coffee concept, in Arcadia. The cafe makes tea-based drinks using traditional coffee methods: Teaspressa (tea-vesion of espresso), lattes and Americanos.

Taco Chelo opened in the revamped Flowers building off Roosevelt Street, now referred to as The Blocks of Roosevelt Row. The Mexican concept is the latest from Aaron Chamberlin, founder of St. Francis, Phoenix Public Market Cafe, and Tempe Public Market Cafe. He partnered with artist Gennaro Garcia and Chef Suny Santana. There is no food item on the menu that costs more than $7.

He is also the owner of Trapp Haus BBQ, his barbecue restaurant that opened off Roosevelt Street in downtown Phoenix.
