Prior to installing a brand New Hard Drive on my Acer Aspire 5000, the old drive was infected maliciously and would not boot up. After the new empty drive installation, I tried to install XP Professional from the CD drive but it would not boot up beyond the following display. ACER loge, SiS UNDU, PXE-2.1 Copyright © 2003 – 2006 SiS Corporation SiS900 PXE BootROM v1.09f – 2150324 Use BEV/BBS = = = Press To Bypass LAN Check = = = CLIENT MAC ADDR 00 C0 9F F1 1D 0E GUID: EOAEGBA9-2915-DA11: No DHCP or proxyDHCP offer were received.
